Soft washing, not blasting
What grows on siding is mostly algae, mildew, and lichen. Pressure alone knocks the surface layer off and it comes right back, while high pressure on a lap joint forces water behind the panel and into the wall. Soft washing uses a cleaning solution at low pressure to kill the growth, then a gentle rinse.
The result stays clean far longer, because the organism is treated rather than just knocked loose. It also keeps water out of your window frames, soffits, and siding seams.
Concrete and hardscape
Driveways, sidewalks, patios, pool decks, and steps do take real pressure, applied through a surface cleaner rather than a wand. A surface cleaner runs even, overlapping passes so you do not end up with the striped zebra pattern that a hand held wand leaves on concrete.
Oil spots, rust, and organic staining are pre treated before the pass. Pavers get rinsed carefully so the joint sand is not blown out, and we can re sand where it is needed.
Wood decks and fences
Wood is soft and pressure will fuzz the grain permanently. Decks and fences get a low pressure clean with a wood safe cleaner, and where the boards have gone gray, a brightener to bring the tone back. Then the wood is allowed to dry fully.
If you are staining afterward, the wash is the first half of that job. Stain applied over a dirty or still damp deck will not penetrate and will fail early, so we build the drying time into the schedule.
Protecting the property
Plants get pre wetted and covered, and rinsed again after. Light fixtures, outlets, and vents are checked and protected. Windows and doors are closed and inspected before we start rather than after water finds a gap.

Common questions
Will the pressure damage my siding?
Not the way we do it. Siding is soft washed at low pressure with the cleaning done chemically. High pressure is reserved for concrete, where it belongs. The wand angle matters too, and we work down rather than up so water is not driven under the laps.
Are the cleaners safe for my plants and pets?
The solutions we use are standard for exterior cleaning and are diluted for the surface. Beds are wetted down before and rinsed after, which is the real protection. Keep pets inside while we work and off the treated areas until everything has been rinsed and dried.
How often should a house be washed?
It depends on shade and exposure more than time. A wall that sits under trees and never gets sun will grow back faster than a sunny elevation. Many South Jersey homes look right on a yearly or every other year cycle. If you can see green or black forming, it is time.
Can you get rust and oil stains out of concrete?
Often, but not always completely. Fresh oil and surface rust usually respond well to a pre treatment. Old oil that has soaked deep into porous concrete, or rust from a fertilizer spill that has sat for years, may lighten rather than disappear. We will set expectations before we start.
