Trim, doors, and carpentry
Baseboard and casing that was pulled for flooring and never went back, a hollow core door that catches on the jamb, a closet that needs a shelf and rod. This is the work that is too small for a contractor to schedule and too fiddly to enjoy on a Saturday.
We hang and adjust doors, replace and add trim, fix strike plates and hinges that have worn out of alignment, and build simple shelving. Everything gets caulked and painted to match rather than left raw.
Exterior rot and wood repair
Soft window casing, a rotted corner on a garage door jamb, fascia that has gone spongy behind a gutter. Left alone it spreads and the repair gets expensive. Caught early it is a piece of trim and an afternoon.
We cut back to sound wood, replace with primed material or repair with epoxy filler where replacement is not practical, then prime and paint the new work so it is sealed on all sides.
Caulking and sealing
Most of what people call a draft is a failed seal. Tub and shower surrounds, window and door perimeters, siding penetrations, and trim joints all move and open up over time.
Old caulk gets cut out rather than covered over, because a bead applied on top of a failed one fails again quickly. Then the joint is cleaned, backed if it is deep, and sealed with the right product for the material.
The punch list
Towel bars, blinds and curtain rods, mounted TVs, house numbers, mailboxes, a smoke detector that is chirping on a high ceiling, cabinet hardware, doorbell buttons. Write the list down and we will work through it.
We are painters first, so the work we take on is the work that touches surfaces and finishes. We do not do electrical, plumbing, HVAC, or structural work, and we will tell you plainly when something needs a licensed trade.

Common questions
Is there a minimum charge?
Yes. We price small work by the half day or the day rather than by the item, because the drive, the setup, and the cleanup are the same whether we hang one shelf or six. That is why it pays to save the list up and do it all at once.
What will you not do?
Electrical, plumbing, HVAC, roofing, and anything structural. Those need licensed trades and we are not going to pretend otherwise. If we find something in that category while we are there, we will point it out and tell you what kind of contractor you need.
Do you work on rentals and turnovers?
Often. Between tenants is the easiest time to get repairs, patching, and a repaint done together, and landlords tend to want one crew and one invoice rather than three trades. Give us the walkthrough list and a date and we will schedule around it.
Are you insured for this kind of work?
Yes, fully insured, and we will send documentation before we start if you want it on file. That matters more on handyman work than people expect, because it is exactly the work that unlicensed and uninsured people advertise for cheap.
